The waterfall is nestled deep within the Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary, accessible via a moderately challenging trek from Valpoi in North Goa. It's approximately 17 kilometres from Valpoi, requiring visitors to navigate through forested trails and rocky terrain to reach the enchanting cascade. Satrem Waterfall is approximately 57.5 km from Panaji, making it a scenic drive through the countryside of Goa. Valpoi serves as the starting point for the adventure, as the route takes trekkers through lush forests and rugged trails.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Satrem Waterfall is during the monsoon and post-monsoon season (June to October) when the waterfall is in full flow. Trekking during July to February offers the most scenic views, as the waterfall is at its fullest and the surrounding forests are lush green. If you visit in summer (March to May), the waterfall may not have much water, but the surrounding forest is still beautiful.
