Located in Ponda in South Goa, Sahakari Spice Farm is a 113-acre spice plantation. Established in 1979/80, the farm originally spanned 4.5 hectares of cultivated land and 55 hectares of barren land. Over time, the farm has evolved through a fusion of modern scientific approaches and traditional mixed crop farming principles. Innovations such as the utilization of sprinklers for irrigation mimic rainy season conditions. These modern techniques, combined with traditional water harvesting practices, contribute significantly to water conservation on the farm.

The Sahakari Spice Farm Goa opens every day at 9 am and closes at 4:30 PM in the evening. Anytime between October to March is the best time to visit this place, but the Monsoon months between June and September totally change the picture of the environment of the spice farm to lush green and fresh. However, summer months between April and Early June are not advisable for a visit to Goa as the state experiences scorching heat during these months, which can mar your experience.
